This Privacy Policy explains how the website convert-in-pdf.ru (the “Site”) handles user information: what data is collected, for what purposes it is used, and how it is protected. The Site is operated by a natural person, Artem Vlasov, contact email: vlasov@magic-py.ru. By using the Site you agree to the terms of this Policy.

1. How your files are processed

The Site’s tools (converting JPG, Word, Excel and text to PDF, merging and splitting PDF) accept the files you upload and perform the requested action. Processing takes place on the server, and the contents of your files are never stored permanently, are not indexed and are not shared with third parties:

• JPG to PDF, Word to PDF, Merge PDF, Text to PDF — the file is processed in the server’s RAM (without writing to disk) and deleted right after the result is returned.
• Excel to PDF — the file is placed in a temporary file on the server only for the duration of the conversion and is deleted immediately once the result is produced.
• Split PDF — the page preview runs locally in your browser (pdf.js technology), so the file does not leave your device; the final assembly of the selected pages into a new PDF is done on the server and the result is deleted immediately.

2. What data is processed

• Contents of uploaded files — only to perform the requested action; processed in temporary memory or a temporary file and deleted right after the result.
• Operation parameters — for example, the pages you select when splitting a PDF or conversion settings.
• Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, request time. Collected by the hosting provider in standard web-server logs in de-identified form.
• Cookies and localStorage — see section 4.

3. Purposes of processing

Data is used solely so the service can perform the file operation you chose and to keep the Site working and secure. We do not process your files for advertising, profiling, model training or resale.

4. Cookies and localStorage

The Site uses cookies and localStorage to store your cookie consent, the chosen theme and language preferences. These records do not contain the contents of your files. You can delete cookies and localStorage at any time via your browser settings — this may reset some interface preferences but will not prevent you from using the tools.

5. Yandex.Metrica and third-party services

The Site uses Yandex.Metrica to collect de-identified visit statistics (pages, devices, traffic sources). The service may use cookies and transmit data to Yandex servers. Legal basis — your consented interest and the consent obtained in the cookie popup. An ad-serving system is also used to cover hosting costs; ad networks may apply their own cookies.

6. Legal basis

Personal data is processed in accordance with Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ “On Personal Data”. For users in the EU we follow the GDPR principles: data minimisation, transparency, purpose and storage limitation.

7. Your rights

You may request information about the processing of your data, ask for its deletion, or withdraw your cookie consent (for example, by clearing cookies in the browser). Since uploaded files are not retained after processing, there is nothing left to delete once the operation finishes. For any questions, write to vlasov@magic-py.ru.

8. Security

We apply reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect data: HTTPS transmission, processing files in RAM or a temporary file with immediate deletion, and limiting the uploaded file size (up to 10 MB). Only fully local processing gives absolute protection; the preview in the “Split PDF” tool works exactly that way, as stated in section 1.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. The current version is always available on this page with the change date. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept the new version.
